Welcome to Alc’emy

 

Hi there! I’m Shannon, the founder of Alc’emy, a boutique skin and scalp care brand based in Hobart, Tasmania.

After more than a decade working as a post graduate medical diagnostic sonographer, we moved to Tasmania. Having lived most of my life in the wet tropics, my skin and scalp suffered excessively with the change in environment. I couldn’t find cosmeceutical grade products that could maintain the hydration levels my skin needed, that were also clean and cruelty free. So, I founded Alc’emy.

Much like the traditional techniques of apothecaries, I value the natural elements and science based research. My premise is simple: minimal ingredients, maximum results. At Alc’emy I create products to help women feel beautiful throughout their lives with a focus on a line of organic/wild sourced botanical extractions, choosing results over profit. 

I still work as a chief sonographer in Hobart and am grateful the doctors, their wives and my fellow sonographers for supporting my startup and for being my first and continued customers.
